NPN Based Profile: Our database of insurance professionals is based on the National Producer Number (NPN). You do not own, nor have legal rights to your NPN; it is created and regulated by government agencies and is considered public information. Your NPN cannot be removed, but you can control what personal information is shown for your NPN.
State License Numbers: State license numbers are owned by the state and an agent has no legal rights to them. They are public information.
Your Name: Because of transparency regulations surrounding insurance licenses, it is the public’s right to know who a license belongs to.
Recommended Action
To be in full control of what information is shown or what information is removed, follow the following recommended steps. This is keeps you in control.
- Claim your profile, if you haven’t done so already.
- Login to account account.
- Manage Account & Profile
- You are in control of your information and which info gets updated, edited, removed, etc.
Automated Removal Option
As a courtesy, if you don’t want to be in control of your information, we offer an automated service that scrubs the profile and automatically removes information considered personal for insurance licenses.
This is not recommended because this will remove your ability to manage your information and you may or may not agree with the legally allowable results of what information remains public.
